KUPS-FM gets a Woodie

A big dose of recognigiton for a small radio station.
Student run KUPS 90.1 FM at the University of Puget Sound has won a prestigious “2009 Radio Woodie” from MTV.
The award recognizes college radio stations for their role in championing independent artists before they achieve mainstream success.
KUPS beat out about 300 other student radio stations around the country in an on-line vote.
The award will be formally presented during an MTV broadcast on December 4 at 10 p.m.
