A shocking and tragic death rocks a Tacoma church.
Thom Carlson was killed Saturday afternoon in an accident near Roy when his motorcycle collided with a car.
The congregation found out just minutes before they gathered for a Saturday service.
"We loved Thom greatly, he is a very dear family member to every one of us," said HR Hunstman, lead pastor at Real Life Family Center. "And so a half-hour before one of our gatherings that's devastating news, devastating news."
Carlson had been with the church for more than a decade.
