Tacoma infant suffocates in parents' bed
TACOMA, Wash. -- A three-month-old infant died Thursday evening when the child suffocated in his parents' bed.
Officers were called to the 5000 block of S. 66th Street just before 9 p.m. for a report of a dead baby.
Investigators say the parents had taken the baby with them into their bed then fell asleep. They awoke to find the child had positioned itself between the mattress and the wall and suffocated.
