Northwest Trek Wildlife Park remains closed for massive cleanup and repair after last week's major winter storm.

Park officials say the damage was so extensive that the park will remain closed for weeks, to hopefully reopen by Presidents' Day weekend.

"Heavy snowfall, ice and high winds caused thousands of large branches to crash down on exhibits, viewing pavilions, fencing and pathways," say officials. "The wolf, cat, raptor and bear exhibits were severely damaged as were nearly four miles of fencing surrounding the park’s 435-acre free-roaming area. This week’s heavy rain and high winds further exacerbated the damage and limited the ability of staff to make much needed repairs."

As park officials work to get the park reopened, even the wildlife are helping out.
