Getting through it...

KOMO 4 News reporter Luke Duecy spotted this in a snow drift this morning.

Luke reports, "...and yes it is empty."

'My husband is so much hotter than these guys'

She called her husband, and Scott Battishill of Tacoma prepared for the worst.

"I was at work," Scott recalls. "My wife calls and says 'I've done this thing.' "

The 39-year-old public relations guy listened further. She had just entered him in a contest, and he just about fell over when he heard the contest's name.

"I was truly fearful that my buddies would come at me after they found out," he says.

You see, Scott Battishill is a finalist in Redbook's annual "America's Hottest Husband" contest.

We had to call his wife, Wendy, to ask why she did it.

"Well," she begins, "I was honestly just flipping through my Redbook, and they were doing a 'spot' on last year's winner. In my head I was like 'My husband is so much hotter than these guys.' "

But when Scott told KOMO about the contest, he said, "It's really a lot more to do with sort of what types of husbands they are than I think anything physical."

Spoken like a true non-hottie. His wife obviously has a different opinion.
